Planning, productivity, and career development: Put Bullet Journals to work for you and your clients!
“I have too much to do! I can’t keep track of everything! Things are falling through the cracks!”
If you or your clients say this, then you’re in the right place!
In this interactive RoundTable, we’ll tackle the basics of Bullet Journaling and discuss how planning improves productivity and can lead to greater career success for us and our clients. Additionally, we’ll discuss why planning and time management can be a challenge for under-resourced clients and its impact on equity in education and the workplace.
Using a planner isn’t just about writing your to-do list. To be truly effective, prioritization, managing time and energy, and finding balance are necessary and are all tied in to career management and success.
Join us and leave with tools to share with your clients, and use for yourself!
When: June 12, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Where: Common Roots Café, 2558 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55405
About Our Facilitator:
Annie is a new career services professional at Capella University, where she started an employee group focused on planning and productivity. She provides ongoing education, training, and motivation to help people find the planning system that works for them. As a career counselor for a diverse population of students with busy lives and constantly competing priorities, she focuses on inclusive and adaptable planning practices. Instead of focusing only on the tool, she takes into account crucial methods and principles of prioritization, goal setting, and essentialism. Annie works to highlight that effective planning in day-to-day life can incorporate long-term career planning for successful outcomes. She holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development in Higher Education from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
