Our MCDA Winter Webinar series continues on Tuesday, February 2nd from 6:30 - 7:30 pm where we will meet on Zoom to explore the topic of Using Strengths in Career Coaching and Counseling.

Not sure of how to integrate Clifton Strengths into your career coaching?

Want to deepen what you are already doing?

Would you like to share information and ideas with others about using Clifton Strengths?

This event features an informal presentation and discussion with Margie Giauque and Tina Wagner, Certified Strengths Coaches, both of whom have years of career coaching and counseling experience with clients and students of all ages in many different career areas from diverse backgrounds.  They will share some of the ways they use the Clifton Strengths assessment in career coaching to help individuals find their purpose using the Strengths and in articulating skills and talents in a job search.

This assessment can be very powerful in working with clients and students in their career planning, applying their strengths to increase their skills and knowledge, preparing for interviews, writing resumes, creating and updating a LinkedIn profile and more. Join the session and the discussion of uses and applications of Strengths!

Margie Giauque is currently the Director of Career Services at Bemidji State University (BSU).  She has been a career coach for nearly 40 years using various assessments.  In the summer of 2008 she took StrengthsQuest, renamed Clifton Strengths, as part of her own professional development and got hooked. She introduced a pilot program at BSU and by the fall of 2009, it was common practice for all new BSU students to have access to the assessment in their First Year Experience courses.

Margie continued her Strengths journey, taking multiple trainings and  most recently achieving Gallup Certified Strengths Coach certification in 2015. She also continued to integrate Strengths across BSU, where it is now widely used in Student Services, many academic departments, and a variety of student groups. Margie uses strengths in her career coaching, team training and classroom facilitations.

Margie created her own LLC three years ago, RENEW Wellbeing, which combines strengths and wellbeing for women and she plans on focusing more attention to consulting/training after she retires from BSU on July 26, 2022.
